Description

The Land Rover Defender 90 P425 X-Dynamic SE combines the compact 90 body style with a characterful 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine. The eight-cylinder engine delivers 425 pk (313 kW) and 550 Nm, with maximum torque available from 1,800 rpm. The V8 is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel drive.

With its short wheelbase of approximately 2.59 metres, the Defender 90 is exceptionally manoeuvrable for an off-road vehicle. At the same time, it retains the Defender’s signature off-road technology, including Terrain Response, four-wheel drive and an advanced chassis. The 90 also has a ground clearance of up to approximately 290 mm and a maximum wading depth of 900 mm, meaning it can really hold its own off-road.

On tarmac, the V8 delivers performance you wouldn’t immediately associate with a Defender. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, whilst its top speed is 191 km/h. Despite its kerb weight of 2.3 tonnes, the P425 remains a highly capable combination of performance and off-road capability thanks to its powerful V8 and four-wheel drive.

The X-Dynamic SE adds sportier and more luxurious features to this, whilst retaining the Defender’s signature character. With its short three-door body, high seating position, robust construction and, above all, the 5.0 V8, this Defender 90 is a very distinctive combination: compact and off-road capable, yet equipped with a large eight-cylinder engine delivering 425 pk.
